In other news, I’ve been running around busting my ass, not only to do the show and to do the wedding stuff, but to try to open my own store with employee/It’s Only Comics fellow/business partner Tony. We made a great stride today, getting the agreement to buy part of the store we work at (the comic book business part) accepted. That glorious celebration lasted literally ten minutes, and we found out the store front in town we were going to rent was rented to someone else. So now we’re back to square one. Not much of a happy evening.

I’m hoping all of this is happening for a reason and staying positive, but it’s tough. Really, really tough. Negotiating this deal was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, and to have it come off so well was just a huge weight off my shoulders. Finding out that the one storefront in town for rent has been rented just broke the whole damn thing in half. Maybe something will become available soon, but who knows. I’ve put so much mental energy into doing this that to now have it falter is really heartbreaking. I was ready to *run* with this, get the capital rolling and put together not only an awesome place to sell awesome stuff, but a cool place to hang out and a place to film the show as well. Now we just have to play the waiting game.

I’ve played it before, I just don’t want to anymore. I’m ready for the real game.
