For my birthday Kenzie and I went out to dinner and then saw Superbad, which is supergood. Pretty much the whole movie is one big long stretch of funny, so much so that when we left Kenzie’s face hurt from smiling and laughing so much. It seems like it’s going to be a bit of a stretch until good movies come out again. Trailers for Iron Man and Dark Knight and Get Smart look great, but that’s not until next summer. It seems like Hollywood has decided that they haven’t done enough stupid movie parodies, so they’re trotting those things out again instead of coming up with their own ideas.
I watched L.A. Ink tonight, and it got me thinking about getting another tattoo. Or, more specifically, think about getting one of the tattoos I’ve been thinking about getting for the past few years. Yeah, I just turned 31, what I need is more ink. Sure, why not.
I was unimpressed with the Giants season opener, by the way. I started out with some pessimism at the beginning of the season, and then my spirits raised watching Sunday’s game. Y’know, until starters started dropping like flies and the back-up quarterback decides not to slide headfirst to pick up a crucial 4th down. Now, I’m back to square one. It’s not a good square.
Speaking of not good, I nicked my fingertip with a circular saw at work today, and yeah, that’ll leave a mark. Not exactly fun, but it looks like I’ll live, and get to keep the finger to boot. It’s my left hand pointer finger, so my typing is all fucked up and weird. The sooner it heals up, the better.

Happy belated birthday. We’re getting old, my friend.
And, before you mention it:
Yes, the Patriots look good.
Yes, there was a videotape on the sideline.
Nick,
Yes we are, but at least we’re having fun. I honestly didn’t get the Patriots/videotape reference until this evening when I happened upon Inside the NFL on HBO. Wow, that’s just weird. And the penalty? Like you guys will miss even a first round pick…pshaw…
