Dispatches from the front

Kenzie and I went out to go see Marie Antoinette today. Good flick. Went to Express and spent too much money on clothes. Did not rectify situation by spending more money on cigars. Smoking one of them now. Yummy. Am please with amount of TV watching and the quality of said shows. Need more good music. Very disappointed the other day to find out that Comments don’t work with this theme, so must find a new theme, and beat it into looking like this one. Because I like it. Relatively pleased with writing lately; this situation is most likely fluid. Work situation good. Downloaded Firefox 2.0. Pleased. Am slightly disappointed in my self by lack of glowing love and affection I show in here for my bride-to-be. Am madly, truly, incredibly in love. Never happier. Still harbor secret desire to buy a house. Still rather broke. See earlier comments in re: Express, cigars. Trying not to feel like I’m literally smoking my money away. Apparently seem to have automatic spellcheck in new Firefox. Rather pleased.

Right now I think I’m having a moment of real, true happiness. Although it’s a little warm in here.

Will report more later. Tonight is for fun and goofing off. Tomorrow is for day-off working.

Wookie love is pointless

So yeah, I’m back…

Street fair is over and I can finally relax, as we hit a giant fucking record in sales, so that’s awesome. The other day, I looked up information on agents instead of playing Civilization, so that’s…what I should be doing anyway, but hey, no harm no foul.

I can’t believe they’re making a Saw 3. I mean, the first one was interesting, but the second was crap. Speaking of movies, I looked up the IMDB info for “Gone Baby, Gone” the Dennis Lehane novel that Ben Affleck is directing and coming out shortly, and I was a little irritated that he cast his brother Casey in the Patrick Kenzie role, and I’m still puzzled by the fact that they are using the second to last book as opposed to, y’know, the first.

I love new TV season because after the long summer o nothing really to watch and wondering about the shows that ended on cliffhangers, when they finally come back, it’s like Christmas. And then the next week you get to see a new one *again* and it’s Christmas all over again. The Lineup: Heroes, Studio 60, Veronica Mars, Boston Legal, Lost, Project Runway (well, not anymore), Ugly Betty, Battlestar Galactica, & Desperate Housewives. All are really good, although I kinda want Studio 60 to be better, as it’s the first Sorkin show I got in on the ground floor. They spend a lot of time talking about how the show within the show is so much better than it was and how awesome Matthew Perry’s character is as a writer, and the show parts that they show are…not so funny.

Heroes is awesome. At times I think it has a couple of shades of hokey, but then they have great, great cliffhangers. Hiro from the future! Bad-ass Hiro from the future! Maybe he’s related to Desmond from the future…
