This shit is bananas, O-M-G-W-T-F-B-B-Q
September 12th, 2006 | by Thacher ClevelandThis interview, where Brian Bendis interviews Patton Oswalt makes me just…ugh, do I want that life, that life of just creating and producing and working with and interacting with other amazingly creative people. It makes me sick that at almost 11pm I’m reading that after wasting almost an hour trying to get Quake3 to work on this computer. If I hadn’t broken the PlayStation last night (don’t get me started) I’d have been playing SOCOM3 (which I bought myself for my birthday, yay me turning 30) I would’ve been doing that instead of being on the computer. So now I’m disgusted with myself being so lazy, so I want to bust this out quick so I can do some real work before I go to bed.
Yeah, I turned 30. Kenzie made me a chocolate peppermint cake that was *delicious,* and I bought pants and SOCOM3. And a kitten. He’s named Hollywood.
We finally got the store website working, and you can visit it at www.darkstarbooks.com. I’m probably going to end up writing more on there than I do on here. So if you wanna read some crazy nerd comics-book shit, that’s the honey-pot right there.
I’ve been reading Miss Snark’s blog at the suggestion of Christian, and while it has been at times terrifying to see so bluntly a literary agent responding to things, it is kind of eye opening. It’s also just one person’s opinion, and while there are some things that she says that I find confusing, it has made me decide to make a couple of quick changes to the beginning of the book, and even more terrifying, make changes to the query letter. It only took a month to write before…maybe quicker this time?
I’m excited for new TV like “Heroes,” “Studio 60,” maybe “The Nine.” I want to get the second season of Veronica Mars on DVD so I can try to con Kenzie into watching it and season 3. We’ll see what happens with that. Allie needs some dental work and it’s school picture day tomorrow (those got expensive!) so the cabbage is light lately. Drooling at the return of “Lost” and “Battlestar Galactica” and “Boston Legal.”
Okay, I’m going to work.
