Ugh. I’m sick. It doesn’t make sense to be sick, because it’s spring, but then again IT WAS FUCKING SNOWING ALL WEEKEND! In *April!* Snow, unashamed, like it’s supposed to be there and not totally fucking with another season. It’s sick and it scares the bejesus out of me. I mean, I’m no crazy hippy who’s all worried about what the earth is doing, because honestly, the earth is going to do what its going to do with or without our help. I’m just worried that we may not survive it, that’s all.

What’s not surviving are my sinuses. I’m not sure if I’m sick because I have some sort of virus or disease or whatever or if it’s because the sudden shift in temperature from hot to cold to hot again that my body just can’t take it. To help survive this, I got some special orange juice that’s supposedly the “Immunity Defense” kind. Meaning that somehow they broke the math barrier and it’s 240% Vitamin C, 100% Vitamin E and then just lists “Selenium,” which may or may not be used to make a nuclear device. I don’t know if it’s working, but drinking so much OJ is turning my farts to acid, which isn’t as fun as it sounds.

The other night I woke up at 4:30am with a deep, feverish paranoia. A majority of it came from the dream I had been having, something so bizarre that as I lay awake trying to go back to sleep I began to working it into a story idea. Sure, I may not be able to sleep regularly but at least I can turn it into good story ideas.

Kenize came down last weekend and we had a great time Friday night going out for a nice dinner and finally seeing Sin City, which lives up to the hype, surprisingly. Admittedly, hearing some of the Frank Miller internal monologues makes you see how over-the-top Miller is, but still, it’s a great series of stories. Makes me wonder what or if they are going to do for a sequel. All in all, Kenzie and I had a great time, at least until Saturday when the snows came, she got called back to work by her asshole bosses and my health began to fail.

I need to put more stuff up on eBay, but I’m tired. I’m not tired of getting money, just the process. Irritatingly, someone still needs to give me $167 some odd for a couple of sets of comics. Fingers crossed, fingers crossed. My Spider-man Clone Saga lot is taking off, surprisingly. If you’d like to buy my stuff, well, come buy my stuff. I’m still threatening myself with doing a list of the comics that I’ll never sell and the reason why.

I caught some of the first round of the Basketball finals. I’m guessing Heat and the Suns in the finals, but it’s not like that’s a Nostradomus-esque prediction. We’ll see, I guess. The NFL draft was kind of a bust for the Giants, as we had traded away our first round pick for The Boy, who had better step up this season. If I remember correctly, we got a corner and a defensive end, and then maybe some other stuff too. Who knows.

So yeah, that’s the deal. Things are going real well and I’m damn happy. Except for the sinuses. They suck.

Like a dinosaur fart in a sausage factory, I remain…

You’ll do it to the living end…starring James Bond

So yeah, I’ll poke around and see if I can change the font. Because it doesn’t seem to be good for some people, and I want to be accommodating to my millions of fans. Well, all four of them or something.

I’ve been busy like a bastard in a being a bastard contest lately. Looking around to find a place to move to, finding said place, looking at it, figuring out if I want to live there, trying to figure out how to pay for it, figuring out how to pay for it, and looking at a new place in the same building because the first one was taken.

I’ve been putting a bunch of comics and other stuff on eBay, and my first round of auctions ended today and I made about $500, which hey, that helps with the whole affording to move thing. So yeah, things are looking good. Kenzie and I like the place that we looked at. Well, the first plce, which was a basement apartment, which then got rented, but then there was another one in the same place that was the same type of apartment but on the third floor. Which is brighter and sunnier, but it’ll make it a bitch to move things like my sofa and such up there. But we’re looking at a pretty much done deal, and thanks to eBay I’ve got some monies left over so Kenzie can beautify the place, as it has ass-ugly carpet. Being a boy, I guess it doesn’t bug me as much as it does her, but that’s just one of those man-woman things.

I’m putting more stuff on eBay, because I just have too many comics and I don’t look at them enough to warrant moving them again. It’s weird, as I went through and pulled out the ones that I definitely wanted to keep, and I may be doing a quick accounting of that on here at some point. There’s plenty of stuff that I love that I’m selling/have sold because they’re in print in trade paperback editions. Some stuff though, like a lot of Amazing Spider-Mans I have up there now I haven’t really looked at since I read them the first time, and that’s like over twelve years ago. Who needs the first appearance of Carnage anyway? Some people, I guess, not me.

Things are really looking good, which is damn good. I get happier every day about Kenzie and I moving in together and moving forward with our relationship. I haven’t been doing much writing lately, but Mike is working on the comic (I’m assuming, he and I had a nice chat about it last week), and I want to come up with some more stuff for him to work on, but I don’t want to overwhelm him.

So yeah, me have plan for much good happy success.

In business, the business of giving you the business. . . up your butt, I remain . . .

Chamberlain? You could hold his heat in the toilet and he’d still give you half of Europe

So yeah, I’ve been sucked into the magical world of Harry Potter. Sure, I was one of the last people on Earth to read them, not out of any kind of outright animosity or anything like that, I just never really was that gung ho into sitting and reading them. I watched the movies, was impressed, but still, didn’t stir me greatly. But yeah, here I am, burning through them faster than I can update the “Presently reading:” field.

Things are treading along nicely everywhere else, with the exception of it not seeming like I’m going to see Kenzie on a more regular basis. Writing reviews for PopCultureShock as the Buzzscope roll-out isn’t complete yet, and that’s a nice brain and writing exercise. I edited another chapter of “Shadow of the Past” and have done some work on “A Love Supreme” (the short story). I found a guy who does some great artwork who’s willing to draw stuff to try to do an ashcan for convention season, so I’ll be sending him some of the small scripts I’ve got going on. Looking at a place to possibly move to tomorrow. Chris sent me his book so I’m going to read that and try to give responsive feedback. Exciting times, really.

Why don’t they just advertise the “Elektra” DVD as “Jennifer Garner Kisses a Girl?” It’d probably sell more copies if it was 90 minutes of that scene looped over and over again, because honestly, that’s the only thing about it that’s even remotely appealing. And really, a girl kiss doesn’t really hold that much sway for me anymore.

The weather has been great, perfect for sitting out and reading, which suits me just fine. I just wish I could do it with my sweetie, that’s all.

I haven’t been watching that much basketball, but I’m tickled to death that the Lakers probably won’t make the playoffs. It’s sweet, isn’t it Kobe? Being the number one guy on a loosing team? Oh, taste the sweet sweet disgrace your greed, pride and avarice has wrought upon you. It’s nice to see the Nets making a run at the final playoff spot in the East, but it’s still a little bitter knowing they’re moving. I can’t help but be amused by watching Charles Barkley doing commentary, because he’s so goddamn batshit crazy and says whatever.

TV is fun. “Deadwood” is back, which is great, but it’s so dense it takes a ton of concentration to move through, and I like to think of myself as smart as I am beautiful. “Tru Calling” apparently hasn’t been cancelled, and we’ll see if it can hold my interest this season. In the scariest turn of events, I almost got sucked in to watching “The OC” tonight, as they were talking about comic books during the recap and I was intrigued. Then I remembered it was “The OC” and I switched to the Spurs/Mavericks game.

So yeah, things are bright an shiny, and maybe if I did good things in my past life I’ll be seeing my sweet Kenzie sooner rather than later.

Unbearably in love, I remain…
